If a member of the Council wishes to resign from his position, the elected member may submit his resignation to the President and the member nominated by the Government of Nepal may submit his resignation to the Government of Nepal through the President.
(2) If a member's position becomes vacant due to his/her resignation, death or inability to remain a member in accordance with the Act, the vacant position shall be filled as soon as possible in the same manner as he/she obtained before membership of the Council.
